Collecting
postcards has been a passion from a very early age. In fact I probably
inherited it from my grandmother, along with her collection of postcards.
Teachers are inveterate hoarders of all sorts of things so when we came
to live in Cofton Hackett we immediately set about collecting local
postcards. I wanted to be able to show the school children how Rubery
used to look and as I delved into the local history, the collection
of cards grew at a tremendous rate. Having realised that other people
enjoyed looking at these reminders of the past, we decided to share
some of the postcard collection by producing this book.
