Although the Solihull Manor House dates back to 1495, the content of this
book concentrates on the dramatic events which affected the building during
the 20th century and the impact upon the Manor House of the changes to
the built environment in Solihull. The author also pays tribute to the
dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who have helped to steer the course
of the Charity, which acquired the Manor House in 1946, through changing
social times.
It also reveals the existence of one of Solihulls best kept secrets,
the beautiful and tranquil garden, tucked away at the rear of the Manor
House, which is used as an optional outdoor seating area by customers
of the Manor House Tea Room, where all are made most welcome. |
