The Birmingham Gloucester Loop comprises the Barnt Green, Redditch, Evesham, Ashchurch line of the Midland Railway.

The only section of the Branch line now in use is the section from Barnt Green to Redditch which originally opened on 24th Sept. 1859. The line accordingly completed 125 years in service in 1984.

Philip Jarvis's book covers the history of the line in photographs and represents every station on the line together with a wide selection of the motive power and rolling stock which have worked the line since 1900.
