Brian
Drew grew up in Warley. Retiring early from a life in the commercial
insurance world in 1994, Brian started writing whilst attending
creative writing classes with Birmingham University School of
Continuing Studies. He has had poems and short stories published
by Coachhouse Writers and The Black Country Society.
His first major work 'A
Long Way From Clent' follows the miraculous progress of
a man who suffered injuries that would have rendered most people
helpless. It is a story of the infinite courage, superb support
and powerful faith that has resulted in the Len York phenomenon.
Len is a man who has put aside the restrictions of paraplegia,
to become an inspirational figure. A man who uses his own lack
of mobility to create hope for thousands, many of whom are better
placed than he. Len's story will lift you with smiles, charge
you with tears and inspire you with faith.
